How do you write isotopic notation for an isotope?

Isotopes usually have more neutrons, which makes their weight heavier, right? How do you write an isotope? I know that there's a number in the top corner and bottom corner beside the symbol for the element. Is the m in the top or bottom corner? And what about the other number? --Please explain, because I've forgotten. Thank you!
